I sort them and use them. I expecially like the cosmetic samples.

Right now I'm using sample toothpaste and sample eye cream. I will nevery buy eye cream again. Samples are always available.

I use mine a soon as I get them. I hate it when you have a bunch of little samples laying around everywhere.

Depends on if they're samples we use or not. If it's something we use, I keep them for my purse or for DH's travel bag. If it's something we don't use, I keep them and use them in Christmas baskets or stocking stuffers. If I have a ton of samples leftover after that, they get donated.

Sometimes they come in handy too if someone comes to visit and forgets a toothbrush, bodywash etc.

What i do with my "smalls":
    - Use them
    - Donate them to charity (foodbanks, shelters, literacy programs, warming rooms, etc)
    - Save them for stocking stuffers! (I fill a stocking for the older people in my family who live alone, that way they have a stocking on Christmas morning that's a surprise like Santa came!)

I did that last Christmas for my bro's family, too. They were going to Florida in January.

This year, most of my samples are going in goody bags for our Volunter Fire Dept's fund raiser. We're having a Diva Night, and giving out goody bags to all the ladies!

Ronald McDonald House will accept donations of certain sample/travel sized items, if anyone is interested in donating to them....

    Great thread!!

    Donate them and use some.
Just a heads up (no pun intended) Head & Shoulders, I donate to the Seafarer's ministry. H&S is better than other shampoos for the ships' plumbing systems.

I use them for Christmas baskets and donations.
I give all baby samples to the local food bank...or I make a basket for anyone I know with child.
I donate many coupons to the food bank as well.
I use alot of the freebies for Christmas baskets for family, which cuts the cost of xmas by a million dollars! and I use them to make one big donation bag for the local women and childrens shelter.
I do use some of the samples for myself...the ones I really want to try before I buy.

I love to collect and enjoy using them too. If I got a sample say a face cream and after I tried it don't like it I'll just use it on my hands / feet. I won't waste products even if they are free. I use them up. I couldn't resist bonus items either, some times I ended up buying something because of the bonus offer. For some reason I tend to fall for bonus bag. I have quite a collection of bags/purses from Yves Rocher, TSC, and department store cosmetic counter bags...I have way too much cosmetic samples.

I use the samples but like others have said, I don't sign up to receive samples I really don't need. It's a nice surprise to check the mailbox and inside there is a free sample ---and i've usually forgotten that I ordered it! lol
