It looks great! They are going to love the cake you made. Its so special and personal. I have a friend having a baby girl tomorrow and you just sparked an idea for me.
My sister made a diaper cake once and used baby bottles and assorted toys like rattles etc inside the diapers , sticking out on a tier of the cake.

I hummed and hawed about doing this but then finally just did it. Each layer i put something in to it. The bottom has a onesie, a sleeper, and 2 burp cloths, the middle layer has 4 face cloths and the bibs, and the top has another burp cloth around it as well as the socks and toys. As the main base hidden inside I have a bottle of lotion(or baby wash)cant remember which.LOL I just went though my son's stash. And I picked up a pizza pan hidden inside the fleece blanket so it was stable on the bottom.

FABULOUS job! I did one once for my cousin's baby shower, her baby just turned two (we're close, only five days apart in age). I'm not a crafty person at all, but everyone was blown away, and it was SO easy! People thought I bought it!

You can make them as cheap or expensive as you like. And if you're a couponer like we all are, it can definitely be done without spending a lot (even without LD!). I used a couple of different sizes of diapers, and used two different brands too - I thought that was a great idea, gave the mom a chance to try some different ones.

    Great job!

Great idea Zonny! I actually asked the mom which diapers she preffered as i had a few stacks for Pampers. She said they used Pampers for there first son, so when LD had them on last week for 2/$25 it was the perfect time to get them! I just haddened decided till the other night if i was going to just give them the diapers or make a cake with them.

I was quite shocked at how easy it was too! I heard from other ppl that it was a hard project to do!
