My son was in french school up to last year. My daughter the year before that andshe has had no problem adapting to her new environment, but my son it's a whole different story.
For the past year I've been looking into having extra help for my son. Although we speak english at home he's had difficulties doing the transition from french school to english. He's had an excellent grade 3 teacher i'd say more then excellent, and for some reason he love her like an aunt. Well the amazing teacher has a 17 years old son and he has offered to tutor my son after school twice a week for 20$.
So tonight was his first time that my son came back with a smile as big as the sun. For the first time ever he spoke to us in english with a sweat accent and was not shy to talk to us.
My son is extatic of his new tutor, I think it's because he sees him as a big friend and not a teacher.
So tonight I thank this young man for the beginning of a new story for my son.
Thanks you Christian for your help.

That's absolutely wonderful! As a former elementary teacher, and tutor as well, I understand how important it is to have that 'special' someone to help out!

What a wonderful story to hear and yes you got a great deal on a tutor, but even better how much happier your son is.
I remember in college having to pay my english tutor 40$ an hour! So you did great!
