You probably thought I meant the furry kind
.
These are my two cory catfish. I also have 4 neon tetras, 4 cardinal tetras and two otto's (algae eater) in a 29 gal tank. The first pic is the largest catfish and I named it Hoover. The second one is the smallest and named Dyson. Cory's are bottom feeders and they are quite funny. They love their driftwood home. Hoover will rummage through the sand, making a trench, and the Dyson is behind filling it in, lol. Hoover also likes to push sand up near the entrance of the driftwood so Dyson can't come in. But of course their is another hole at the back so Dyson sneaks in. They love to stare at you but if you stare back they hide. I had to turn off the room lights and sneak up to take a photo.

Dyson (missing some of his barbels)

Neon and Cardinal Tetras. They are from South America (Amazon region)

Nice fish. WE had a large aquarium years ago. It got to be too much work for me to clean it. We had live plants and bottom feeders and algea eaters, but they never ate enough, lol. I used to love watching them with the lights out a night. So pretty. Nice to meet your fish, they look very happy in their home.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Thanks! The catfish are more active at night. They zip around.

Cool. I used to collect puffer fish, fresh and brackish water ones and catfish.
At one time I had 17 species of puffer and 30+ of catfish plus other fish. I had over 20 tanks ranging from a 12inch x 12 inx 6 inch to a 6 ftx 2 ft x 2ft which held 200Uk gallons/ 1000l of water .I used to spend a lot of time cleaning tanks...

They are a lot of fun. my mbu which was about 18 inchs long trained me to hand feed him. The smaller ones did tend to nip at stray fingers.

I had a couple of Amazon puffers who munched their way through my shoal of 200 neon tetras. They were the 2 nastiest fish I ever had.
Apart from eating around 100 fish, they bit any other tank-mates they could get. They wiped out my Amazon tank which I had spent 2 years getting to stabilise since what they didn't kill was terrorised and died. The plants were uprooted and they ended up in seperate tanks since they fought when together....
An expensive lesson that was.
I ended up doing fish rescue since all the local shops knew me and they'd phone me if they had a puffer who neeeded rehoming. They used to keep fish for me as well.

Great names toban! Love your sense of humour. So, Dyson wasn't as effective with the pickup??? Was Hoover the better vacu...er...fish?

Thanks Natalka!
Lol! I think Hoover has better pick up than Dyson
Wow! I didn't realize puffers were aggressive as in eating tetras or nipping. Are the teeth sharp or capped teeth?
