Hubby's First 'Start the Car' Moment

Usually he gets annoyed when I have to go digging for coupons so this kinda surprised me...

Yesterday at CT we were looking around and he found a metal tire gauge kit in a nice little black zip case with a small flashlight and a knife. It was all very nice looking. He pointed to the price and was all happy he found something he was willing to pay for (it was $10 on clearance and yes, I have made him even cheaper than me in the last 12 years to the point where it sometimes annoys me!).

So we get up to the cash and it rings in at $3.48. I look over and tell him and he says nothing. At this time I'm thinking, 'is she going to give me my scratch ticket?' and he knows I'm waiting to ask. She hands the money over and he quickly pushes me away and out the door telling me to 'not worry about the scratch ticket'. I was kind of annoyed but on the way to the car he says 'I didn't want them to charge me what the posted price was'! It was his first 'Start the Car' moment. He was really excited. So the posted price was $10, he got it for $3.48 and the original price of the set was $35.00. He saved $31.--. He grinned all the way home!

WOW!!!! My hubby hates shopping! I have to get him drunk to go! Even to the point where I wrap Christmas/Birthday gifts and he has no idea what they are! Amazing job to your hubby!!!!

I said what have you been doing all day? just sitting here drinking? and he told me he had to, to deal with me when I got home jumping around the house at all my awsome deals I got

Great deal, great stocking stuffers too DH loves that I use coupons but hates when I make him use them I think he hates the part when the cashier gives you grief for using them. Good thing he wasn't with me today when I went to pay for the magic erasers. Snotty cashier from hell LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha! My boyfriend shakes his head and laughs whenever I get excited about a deal. He is slowly but surely realizing that my way is the right way.

Lol sounds like we women are all in the same boat!! While my DH appreciates the money I save, he HATES going shopping with me..with all the coupons,etc. MEN!!!!! *sigh*

haha..that was awesome! mine hates shopping too and i dont mind cuz i realize i can take my time with deals and coupons than have someone over my back saying 'hurryyy'
