I have 5 people, and run a home daycare. plus dh works from home 80% of the time.
I avarage 23 - 31 kw per day. I am not really sure why he difference is the way it is.
on days I hang my laundry.. it seems I use more hydro... and on times I use the dryer it seems to go down. I am sure I could do a daily thing for a long period of time. but it always seems to confuse me. And that is hard to do with this stuff , as I am pretty on top of my usage ect.
the only thing I think that is a power sucker in my home is the ac.

I'm trying to keep track of usage as well by way of the smart meter....the same thing is happening here - days I do laundry and use the dryer, the meter reading is lower...strange....

I really think its all to do with them keeping tabs on everything and not as much to do with power at all. Knowing what channel you watch, knowing everything about habits. I know that sounds crazy, I thought so too until I started researching what it does. That combined with the new laws passed in the last couple of weeks makes it pretty clear to me.
START THE CAR....START THE CAR!!!!!

I think i agree with you. I went to that other web site about all the harmful effects of the monitors, and the fact they're wireless, and the stupid thing would be mounted below my childs bedrooms freaks the f*$@k out of me it's so upsetting that someone in an office decided that this would be then next best step for society and how he didnt give a flying rat's arse about how it will affect us in 20 yrs. It's amazing that this person and board of people can live with themselves after they've imposed this machine on peoples lives...very upsetting..very, and the world just seems to keep getting worse and worse...
sorry to sound so negative, with 4 kids, this is just so disturbing, that our house, our home we call our haven will now be monitored by this meter....it's not right.
