I used the cry it out with both my kids. They never seemed to need me that much at bed time either. They both slept through the night from the beginning. Bed at 11 and would not wake up till 6. They are now in bed by 8 or 8:30 and do not get up till 7. I can not complain.

Luckily, my daughter has never needed it..she always goes to sleep on her own very well. Fingers crossed my little guy will be the same!

We haven't tried the cry it out strategy... he gives enough trouble to go to sleep as it is even if we are with him. We're hoping this will improve and he'll realize that he's not missing out on any exciting stuff when it's his bed time.
