Ok, so I am pretty new to Smartcanucks and couponing in general.
Last month, I made a list of all Freebies received from June to August and the list was longer than a page!
Recently there have been so many freebies (olay body wash, deodorant, greenworks, fabric softener, etc. etc.), that I am wondering from all of you seasoned Smart Canucker's out there, are there ALWAYS this many FREEBIES???
If so, I am embarrassed for having spent so much of our hard earned money over the years on things but also grateful for such an amazing community of bloggers!!!This thread is currently associated with: Army & Navy, Olay

As a newbie too, I'm curious about this as well. Cjunk, I'd love to see your list as I've just started in the last month. Amazing, isn't it? So hard to believe what I hadn't understood before but was there for the taking all along!

I was wondering this as well. I was imagining they had to be somewhat rarer coupons and that I just happened to start at the right time. But maybe they are fairly common? The Secret deodorant etc coupons and the GreenWorks are the two that were really, really useful for us.

Well I would personally say right now is a good time to be a couponer. Between the $9 wub 3 & $5 wub 2 brandsavers as well as the Greenworks coupons that are out, there are alot of freebies to be had! It depends what you are in need of. There are probably some ppl who didnt even look twice at these coupons. Then there are those of us who know better!(no offence to anyone on here)
This is not always this way though. We do have our dry spells, where there are not so many great deals as well as not so many coupons to be found! This is usually during the summer months. Then there is always a rush in Dec. to use up alot of coupons because alot out there expires Dec.31. Its a very sad time of year. My book was less than half full on Jan.1/2010. It seems like yearly there are a few coupons that are the best thing ever. Last year the best(that I remember) was the $10 wub any 3 Olay, and let me tell you, we all got our stashes of bodywash and such then too! Some of us may still be working on those stashes!
But as far as Im concerned couponing throughout the year definately has highs and lows.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to Smart Canucks!!
I've only been here a year now... so I can't really compare. We learn as we go... and if you're not sure about something... check on here. Someone will have posted about it!
I remember last year's big coupon was the $10 off any Hasboro Board Game found on cereal boxes. Those were a hot item... and got me eating cereal again!! haha

I totally agree with scbpooh, there are definitely some dry spells and other times you will find yourself with more _______ (bodywash, deodorant, shavegel, etc) than you know what to do with.
I would not be able to find even half these deals on my own, the combined resources of this site are amazing.

I have no idea how much all of this is worth...I just have to thank everyone for their blogs. Looking at all of this you would think I spend hours a day shopping or checking out blogs but I average a mere 20 mins or less per day doing this AND I do a lot of it in between loads of laundry or while cookign dinner etc.
Note, I only send away for freebies and coupons in my name and my husband's as he has a different name/address but do not create multiple addresses for these as many do, so quantities could easily be higher if need be.
Hope this roll continues!! Especially the contest wins!
