Blackberry Playbook $198 , Starting Nov. 18th

It doesn't have Native email yet but I can still check my emails & use Facebook too!!

I scooped one up today too, couldn't resist. I have had my eyes on one since they came out! And I was wrong about my post that they were $348, there was a no name brand one right by the playbook and I got them mixed up. I got a 16gb and it was $498.... soon to be $198!

The PlayBook can be a standalone product and you don’t need a BlackBerry, but it does help. The first iteration doesn’t come with cellular access so your three options for internet access are: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth tethering to any mobile phone (that is capable through DUN), and with a BlackBerry handheld through the BlackBerry Bridge. So no, you don’t need to have a BB to use the PlayBook.

Got all 3 flyers today BestBuy, Futureshop and Staples...all of them have it in deal $199 for playbook
I also got email from staples which has $15 OFF coupon on Online Orders, which I can use on top of the sale price !! Yay..

They received a email from their head office this morning that the new price will be 199.00 On Friday. I bought 2 today and they just said go back in on fri for price match!
Run fast they are selling out everywhere!

Can anyone clarify if this would be better for my 13 yr old son that a Itouch?
Heard there are not many apps available which could be a real turn off for him?

Like I posted above...I have an Ipod Itouch & never use it anymore...Your DS would love the Playbook...lots of game apps & I even love the Need for Speed UnderCover & I'm not a game person. The Flash & graphics are awesome!!

It plays youtube videos on browser just like your computer...not sure what megavideo is,

I've seen some people on Crackberry.com have upgraded to 2.0 OS (developer beta) & they have added Android apps & i think Angry Birds is one of them...check crackberry.com under Playbook for more info!!

Our WM is now all sold out of Playbooks (2 days ago there was atleast 5 of each kind), yikes!! some people are gonna be disappointed when they go tomorrow!!
