Hi my name is Renee Allard. I am 39 and I just started watching TLC's "Extreme Couponing"...I aspire to be like all the people on the show. I need help and guidance as much as I can get for learning how to coupon extremely and save my family money. I have 3 mentally challenged children 2 of whom I adopted and 1 natural birth child. I live in BC. My main store to shop is Walmart where I usually spend on average $80 per month. I'd like to get that down to under $20 or less if I can find a way. Price Smart & Save On Foods are other local stores.

Welcome to the boards Renee. If you're currently spending $80 per month for your family i'd say you're doing quite well so far. the extreme couponing thing may not be as easy to pull off right way but with the tips posted throughout the Deals, Coupons and Brag sections of SC you could be well on your way to lowering your $ spent each month.

Are you signed up with loyalty programs like Airmiles/Aeroplan, Shoppers Drug Mart, HBC? those help a lot. Also Mail in Rebates and special offers help put $ back in your pocket. lots of options in addition to coupons.
