Was out making pretty baubles tonight, got carried away & lost track of time. Oops.

It was so nice to have a few hours without being bombarded by nitwits asking me whether I'd voted (a dozen phone calls & some rather overzealous Smitherman folks banging on my door).

We'll see how this plays out. I confess to voting for Ford (the lesser of 3 evils, as far as I'm concerned). Couldn't vote for Smitherman (BSL, cuts to eye exams & dental for kids, wanted the ban on sushi, among other silliness). Besides, he's lousy as a local candidate (hasn't done a thing for my neighbourhood). Couldn't vote for Pantalone (not too swift during some debates, & I have a thing about socialists who have no concept of the reality of socialism vs the ideology, must be my summers spent visiting a communist country).

Too bad I didn't run Lily dog for mayor - chances are she'd have got the majority of the votes.

Now Ford has to survive 4 years. I don't think he will physically be able to survive the stress.

Nope. Fords don't usually last that long. They rust out and fall apart long before that. Hey, I wonder what kind of warranty we get with this Ford???

Boy, Ford becomes mayor and everybody clams up and tuck tail.
Speaking of bad elections, I see Mississaugua elected someone who should have been doing time.

Fords are also famous for being guzzlers and it looks like Rob hasn't pushed himself away from to many dinner tables.

This was my evening's entertainment (would not have had nearly as much fun watching the reporters scramble & double talk as the results came in ).

The first pic is of 2 amethyst bracelets.
The second is a rose quartz bracelet.
The third is a necklace/bracelet set with carnelian.
All the chains are silver plated, btw.

I can just picture John Candy as Rob Ford. Almost as good as Tina Fey as Sarah.

Can't remember who said it earlier, but if anyone is going to earn their salary over the next 4 years, it will be Ford's spin doctors!!
Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.
