I admit that I'm one of the ones that didn't read the rules before hand but once I found out...I immed. thought I'd be disqualified...and accepted it...still do in fact, but if Goodyear still wants to deliver my "prize", who am I to object...I have my ID ready I don't think I actually "cheated"; it taught me a lesson in reading the rules tho'!!

I find this rather funny. in the email I got today, it was address to Mr or Mrs S.....okay, which one of us won the prize?? I know its me but they can turn around and say it was my DH...right! I don't think I want anything from them now...except I really want my BFF to get her prize!! She won the IPod and she really deserves something nice! I even feel silly cuz' I'm the one that told her about this contest.

you definitely do not know what your talking about.

if that's really the case, then it's their fault that they did not put provisions to validate the addresses. this is a simple case of not putting more thoughts on how they will handle this contest like designing their system to handle all cheaters, user's entry mistakes, etc. if this contest was properly designed in the very beginning, then they will not be in this firefight mode. there are thousands of contest who are able to block repeated entries so why did they not cater for this? so if you want to put any blame on this whole fiasco, point your finger to the promoter as clearly, something was not done right by them, be it IT or whoever. plain and simple.

regarding that mass email. looks like another glitch similar to the DQ email as everyone seem to receive them regardless if they win a prize or not. oh well, seems their problem just keeps on piling up and dramaqueen's friend's husband will be working more OT in the following days to come...

Thank you for your patience as we reviewed the details of your registration in the 2010 Goodyear Truckwise Challenge. We have confirmed that we only received one registration from your household. We apologize for the confusion of our previous communications.

Please note that as revisions were required to ensure all entries were legitimate, the contest draw was postponed and will occur on Friday October 22, 2010. All prizes will be sent out by courier and can be expected before November 26, 2010. As stated in the contest details, all prizes will be delivered to you within 4-6 weeks.

Winners of the grand prize draw will be notified by phone on October 25, 2010.

Yes this contest is whacko,if someone enters a contest and wins they expect a prize this is a large company and there reputation is on the line,when we fill out forms for surveys we expect to get what was promised not a letter saying were cheaters scammers etc,why would we waste our time for a company that is scamming us not the other way around,as for this contest I tried to enter a second time several weeks after it started and it said I entered already yet we were allowed to enter each week that tells me right there they were trying to pull a fast one,I really hate this contest I could care less about a 50.00 gas card,it's a small win,but I am sick of the letters that they have sent everyone they are harassing us because they have rigged this contest and don't want to pay up the prizes.
