i ran into sdm today quick so i could avoid the redemption rush
i grabbed 2 different johnsons hair and body wash they were marked 3.00. so i used 2x $1 coupies. i also picked up a playtex purse case to hide unmentionables and grabbed a second for a stocking stuffer - they were in clearance so i had to ask how much
anyways long story short, i decided to put one playtex case back but was charged for 2, and the johnsons washes came up to 4.99 each
I applied scop to both johnsons and got my money back from the playtex thing and ended up getting $16.xx back!!
Always amazes me when people who dont know about scop and probably just leave and never think about what they are actually spending. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by Candini; Sat, Dec 3rd, 2011 at 05:02 PM.

Could you have gone back and used SCOP or does it have to be done at the time of purchase?

i didnt scop lastnight. My DH wanted a Video game as they weren't suppose to sell it after 10 but i advised i wasn't told that on the phone and I am here with one hand (just had surgery) i bought some liners that rang up 8.99 and i showed the flyer and was adjusted to 7.99. I forgot about scop and didn't want to be a pain since they were really nice allowing me to have the game.
i went to another sdm this morning and scoped nuts though
manager was not impressed....r they ever when u mention scop?

I have recently learned about SCOP; before I didn't even know what it means....
I have never asked for one yet tho' - I don't know if I will ever have the "courage"; So far prices have been correct on my receipt! LOL
I find that "the day" you forget to check the receipt; that will be the day to realize you have "overpaid"

Question: How do you ask the cashier if a similar case happens?
Do they call a manager or do they do it directly on the spot?

usually you go to customer service... i ran into the manager today and just showed him my receipt, said i was overcharged for 2 different products, he asked me to show him the prices (always go with them! i`ve been screwed out of a scop because the little bugger ripped down the sign)

before I started couponing I unknowingly SCOPed a couple boxes of crackers (she only gave me one free, but I was not complaining)
good eye!

I would say the best way to ask for scop is to ask if they participate in the scanning code of practice, if they say yes, then just say I would like that applied politely of course
Any time I have gotten a scop they have called a manager, but don't let that shy away from it, I have always found 95% of people realize what you are doing and don't mind waiting

I find though with SDM that their prices don't ring up right until they hit subtotal then all of the prices get adjusted, kinda hard to keep track until after its done then its a pain.
I thought I was getting a scop on my redemption too as the price rang up higher, but another cashier came along and said when you hit subtotal all the prices adjust which yep they did.The most serious gardening I do would seem very strange to an onlooker, for it involves hours of walking round in circles, apparently doing nothing." --Helen Dillon
