Day care for 17 Month Old

Does anyone know the cost of a childcare for a 17 month old at ymca as compared to other daycare centers in downtown toronto? Does anyone recommend any particular daycare center? Please comment if you have any experience?

$40 / D....wow, what a fortune....what if someone has 3 kids....they better stay at home than work for bankrupsy....here in Qc...we have $7 / D daycare....wherewver you live and whatever your assets are....

It's $40 a day here in Ottawa for a 17 month old at a caregiver's home. Daycares can cost up to $50 per day. It's crazy!

Yep, it's fairly costly! We only have DD in daycare 2 times a week, to try and get her motivated to start talking. She's also starting speech theraphy this month (she's 22 months). We have her in a centre based daycare that is much like a pre-school. She's been in for 2 months and we've already seen a lot of improvement.

I couldn't imagine having multiple kids in daycare every week day. Ouch!
