Funny Police Calls in 2011

I was reading an article last week written by a local Police Officer who must do stats for the Police Department.

He was relating the "interesting" calls they had had in Chatham-Kent over the past year.

One involved a call to "do something about" a skunk with his head caught in a mayonnaise jar.

Several involved public nudity - many people who had been overcome by the "heat?" - maybe liquid heat - and jumped into the Thames River - without the benefit of their clothes or a bathing suit- now the Thames is one murky, yucky river - I hope they saught medical care afterwards.

One fellow phoned to complain that his neighbour had been cutting the boulevard that rightly belonged to the municipality and he wanted the police to stop his neighbour from doing this.

Several calls involving poop - mostly dog and cat poop, but also a local woman seems to have a very bad habit that she just can't seem to "wipe" out.

We aren't called a one-horse town for nothing!

It's a grand old town! Was considered for capital of Upper Canada for a time.
