Hi,
I am currently with Rogers and pay $35.99/mo for the hi-speed lite package with 15GB limit. I usually use up 6-7 GB/month and have my own modem. This package is slow at times especially when I watch TV shows online. I need to cut back on my expenses so I'd appreciate some suggestions re new provider. Thanks! This thread is currently associated with: Rogers (Plus)

Teksavvy sucks, horrible customer service. I use Rogers, can't beat their 100% reliability.

I have been a Teksavvy customer for 15 months. I use their internet and home phone services and have never had a problem with them even when I forget to pay my bill. My internet has never gone down for more then 5 minutes and they warn customers well in advance when they are doing network upgrades. They also support internet freedom and fair pricing for consumers and actively fight Bell and Rogers on internet usage caps at the CRTC.

Just a heads up to everyone, TekSavvy is going to be raising its prices by about 3$ because of the increased costs due to the CRTC ruling on UBB. Basically, they are backdoor UBB'ing them....at least for now.

I feel bad for people who pay an arm and a leg for Bell/Rogers services and are oblivious to the money they are throwing away. Every single year Bell and Rogers has increased their prices while decreasing the monthly limit and a lot of you people just take it with a smile!
It pays to actually research your options. So many people are being taken for their money and they think they are getting a deal.
My rogers+bell bill was $170 a month for phone, internet, cable before I had enough with their ridiculous price increases. That's not even including the times I went over the internet cap and had to pay $25 (was the cap at the time, now its $50!)
Now I subscribe to NO services from rogers/bell and pay $46/month for dsl with 300GB limit and $0/month for my VOIP phone which has free long distance in canada and a plethora of call features that would cost an arm and a leg on crappy Bell.
No one could ever convince me to return to those two horrible companies who are in obvious collusion.Last edited by BobSagget; Mon, Jan 9th, 2012 at 04:18 AM.
