I would probably hate my mum if we lived closer, we just PO each other when we talk, she is p!ssed that I wont take time off at xmas to come home but the last time I went home she was mad that I came home during the holidays when she was busy and couldn't spend time with me.

When we talk she whines about my sisters treating her like a babysitter all the time then tells me how much better than me they are because they bother to call her, I pay for a local UK number so they (and my friends) can call me for free - why do I need to pay long distance to call, you can call me lol

LOL! me too then, cause when I was in Newmarket I'd phone my mom once every 2 weeks cause that was all I could handle. I can count on one hand the number of times my mother phoned ME while I lived there, and twice it was because someone died! lol Again with the "i don't want to bother you" nonsense.

my daughter has me as one of 5 people on her blackberry that she can call free- i call her on her birthday - no long distance plan here- plus im cheap- of course i use coupons- why wouldnt i try to save elsewhere in life

oh dear.
I found my relationship with my mom much better once I moved out.
Not that we really had "problems" we are just VERY different. But we get along much better now that we aren't in each other's hair all day.
I always say if she just met me on the street she'd hate me lol.

I'm opinionated, and I'm not quiet about it, I even laugh way too loud for her liking. lol She grew up in a house where no one talked about anything, and if I have a problem with something or someone, I'm the first one to speak up, and she's one of those "just ignore and it will go away." lol My brother is just like her. I can't talk to him either! I fit in much better with bf's loud Italian family! lol

I disagree with my mum on the big stuff too, we were always really close until my dad died - she didn't tell us how sick my dad had got so quickly and didn't want us there when he died and we had a huge fight after and my family all freaked on me for being a biatch to her after all she had been through

oh my goodness you sound just like my daughter loud and opinionated- she will be marrying into a close italian family- sometimes she says she has to watch the line she shouldnt cross when around his family- its not fair she tells him - cause around us she can say anything
