We have Sobey's in NS that offers Air Miles... I always look for bonus miles events, as well as sometimes they have buy $100GC get xx Air Miles... Last time, it was 40AM's for $100, so I got 80 AM's (and it's not like we're never goig to use the gift cards...)

Sorry, it might be the airmiles.ca email alerts then (I'm signed up for both, would recommend everyone do that). Either Safeway or airmiles.ca sends me an email every few weeks with a printable spend $100 get 100am coupon. It's at the same time as the coupon in the flyer, but since the PLU codes are different safeway's system accepts both and credits 200 to your account. For now -- I might be killing the goose that lays the golden egg by sharing this online...
Edit: a year later Safeway killed that goose.... :-(Last edited by emax; Wed, Dec 11th, 2013 at 07:03 PM.

Does anybody know how long it typically takes for Shell Air Miles transactions to appear in your account? Is it comparable to Safeway's time frame?

I always found the quickest way to get Air Miles was to sign-up for a new credit card with a large sign-up bonus. Right now BMO's offering 500 Air Miles on their no fee card and Amex is offering 2,000 Air Miles with no annual fee in the first year. Both great deals. You can compare the Air Miles credit card offers here
