fyi i wasnt implying that we should get rewards for exactly what we put in,
my calculations are estimations and are not sound proof, you guys sure know how to gang up on someone
IMO the only good rewards program I think actually gives you the most back is the scene card.

If you're spending $2 for a bottle of coke and it takes 60 PINs to get 30,000 points for 2 movie tickets, it would cost you $120 for the Coca-Cola and you would be receiving $24 worth of movie tickets – a 20% return. In the Airmiles program, it costs 175 miles for a pair of tickets + popcorn + pop. At $20 per mile, you'd have to spend $3,500 for the same movie tickets (and popcorn and pop). Of course, Airmiles often have special offers and deals that cushion that cost, but at regular rates the same reward is nearly 30x more expensive! Though I can't justify ever buying a single 591mL product for $2 when I can get a 12 pack for $3-4, or sometimes a 24 case for $5. Since Coke probably makes about 90% profit on the 591mL bottles, it's not unreasonable to expect a high-yielding reward program. Especially in addition to the point that Icoke probably gets most of their rewards at a significant discount. Also, the availability of rewards on Icoke is nothing short of embarrassing. Gift cards are generally only available for an hour every few weeks (if we're lucky) and 90% of their rewards are downloadable garbage. So I totally agree that the Icoke program has a lot of faults (and is often really frustrating) due to the way it's run. But as an investment, they do offer at least a 20% on most of their valued rewards, and you're very unlikely to find a rewards program that offers such a high return.

My hubby is a big coke drinker...we were entering all our PINS and SLOWWWWWLY saving up points for rewards on the iCoke website. I'm pretty new to smartcanucks, but I sure am happy to be here....and now I know how to get more points without using my own, so I'm definitely happy...but before now, I didn't feel like I had points to spare on games like the one thats up now so I usually saved for magazine subscriptions and things like that. I have seen the light now, and it is beautiful!
