When we buy the big blocks from Costco, and I mean the big ones, we shred them all and freeze them in Ziploc bags...use them for lasagne, pizza, quesidias, casseroles, and any other yummy goodies that may need cheese!

I have extra coupons, but I'm in Alberta, not sure if they would reach you before the sale runs out or not and they expire at the end of this month.

I wish I had of thought to shred the cheese first too. I hate it when it thaws and I try to shred it and it crumbs into pieces. Guess there is always next time, lol.

I do the same thing and will be shredding some today. I refuse to pay someone to shred cheese for me....i.e. the Kraft Shredded.

I picked up four today. The cashier was cute.. she said to me since they are on sale you cant use the coupon LMAO! I just went sure you can! She asked the other cashier and she said yes hahahaha!

I am also going to shred 2 of them and keep 2 for us. We love cheese and the kids love cheese and crackers in their lunchs for school.

I have extra coupons if anyone is in the Cambridge area. I would hate to throw them out. PM me!

+ I don't know if it's me, but when you buy packaged shredded cheese, it doesn't taste the same as if you shredded it yourself. I think they add extra preservatives to increase shelf life, and I find that the bagged shredded cheese has a dryness to it vs. cheese you shred yourself.

I find when i freeze my cheese it is really crumbly in the first few days, but as time goes on it is less crumbly. By the end of the brick of cheese it does not crumble at all.
