I've learned how to cope with his BS. He doesn't get to me anymore. I see the light at the end of the dark tunnel and he knows it. He used to hold money over me but he knows now that if I want to leave I have a place to go. He found my searches for shelters. He knows if I go to a shelter he loses access to his child. My turn to have the upper hand. I have too much on him, proof of his abuse which again, he knows I'll use it if he ks with me in terms of custody. I told him I want sole custody and I'll grant him visitation provided it's supervised. If not, he can fight me in court - he;ll get NOTHING and I won't concede. I'll tell my son his dad was an abusive jerk (not in those words) but I'll be honest as to why he doesn't see him if that's what it comes down to.

I've found that the biggest, harshest way for me to hurt him is to simply be indifferent. He can't make me cry anymore and that REALLY gets to him... no pwer no control

Thanks for the rep! And I agree... I knew early on as well and I'm hanging on to that. If he isn't asleep when I go skanking with Patty... he'll cry the whole time I'm gone. I can only leave him during the day... he knows I'll be back.
