Gee, paid 3.79 for 4L jug of milk yesterday... usually it's 3.99 - 4.29

I know the prices here in Nova Scotia make me sick.In our town the price of a 4L jug is $7.49 and we only have Scottsburn and Farmers which I have never seen coupons for.

Not sure why the different price from Ontario I guess it is like the milk prices.CRAZY!!We pay over $7 for 4L. That is $60 a month for milk for our family and there is never coupons for the kinds that are sold here.

Wowzaz over $7 for 4L!!!! I don't know how we would afford that! My 10 yr old brother alone drinks a little over 2, 4L jugs of milk per week. Thats expensive here even when it is on sale for $3.99 a jug! And then about 1 4L for the rest of the family's cereal and coffee... ($12 per week if all on sale).

I'm in south-west Nova Scotia and milk is outrageous here too. I get mine at Zellers for $6.29 (everyday prince) instead of paying the $7.49 at Sobeys or Superstore. They have a cooler just as you go in the door at my Zellers in Yarmouth with milk but have no other refrigerated or frozen foods. Also, I can sometimes get it cheaper at Shoppers Drug Mart if it's on sale.

I don't know where you live in CB but it might be worth checking out those two paces if you're close by either one. Also, check out Irving - they did at one time have 2l for $3.29 so that would be cheaper than the $7.49 at the grocery stores.

Thanks for the tips But the closest Zellers is 2 hrs away and my SDM is just a small one with no grocery.They do carry milk but just in the 2L size and the prices are the same as the grocery stores.
