I send mine over to points.com.
I'd rather use them for something I know I'll actually get than take a chance on another contest. I already get entered into enough contests doing surveys.

I donate mine to the charity section.. there are lots of worthwhile charitiess in there that need your help. They used to have the Canadian food bank in there, was donating the equiv. of a canned good a day.. now there are many others. School kits for kids, habitat for humanity, etc!

I changed 245 hotpex for $2 futura
Points.com is free to join but as someone said, they take a portion for the trade.
As an equal trade, for 245 hotspex i should have gotten $2.45 in futura dollars but they took the 45 I guess as transaction fees.
If you go to points.com, you can use their estimator and find out what you can trade your points for.Taking my wife out for dinner Friday night.

Also, I can vouch that their contests are legit.. I won a satellite radio from them at one point.

Is there a way to sign-up for points.com without any free miles sign-up bonus? I don't have any miles.

You could probably sign up with hbc rewards, they have a bonus opt in email for 10,000 points Then join points.com and register your hbc rewards when you sign on with them. Thats one example, there are probably others similar.
Do you really need some sort of points to sign up with points.com? I can't remember when I signed up with them.Taking my wife out for dinner Friday night.
