I was thinking that perhaps, because there are So few reviews and swatches out there for DIY SOGs, perhaps I'd set up an Index thread on here that we could use to do our reviews and keep track? Perhaps it would be easier than wasting $15 on a colour that you had to take a chance on because you can't get a swatch

Okay.. I've been reading this thread on and off for awhile now. All you ladies who are constantly painting your nails... lemme ask you a question - how do you keep your nails from going gross and yellow underneath all that polish? For about a two-week stretch, I painted my nails a different shade every day or every other day, always applying a base coat. They still turned a horrid shade of yellow. Not a nice Minion yellow, but a sickly shade of "you've got jaundice, now what are you going to do about it" yellow. I had two different kinds of bases that I alternated between too. So I had to take it all off, file off the yellow layer on my nails and I haven't touched them since.

Depends on the polish and base coat. Some I can wear without a base coat and get no yellow, others will seep through any base coat. For me, cheaper nail polish and non 4-free polishes generally causes it more.
I think for most of us, we always have polish on so some yellowing isn't an issue.
I use Quo Bonder Rubberized base coat, it is a bit thicker than many. When I remove it, I always buff my nails which takes some of the yellow off anyway (I use a buffer then Revlon Crazy Shine). I do have some yellowing, but not so much that I couldn't go out with bare nails

It would be a great idea to do an index of sog.
I could not stand the style savvy. It was the same color as the puke my cat has....it had to go. Even the hubby said it was terrible, and he usually doesn't comment on the color that often. For the removal I used a sock filled with rice, warmed in the microwave to heat up the foil wraps. It seemed to help, all the polish peeled off.
I decided to go with a neutral creme this time. Quo So Kissable. It is a light peachy pink. I did 4 thin coats to get this coverage. The 30 second cure time is great with the quo LED lamp, 3 min with the RCM would not have happened. Hard to see the true color in the pic. I will be keeping this on until the 31.
Toes have 2 coats of Quo Burning Love

If you bought a LED lamp, well.ca is selling all polishes for $8.xx for Boxing Day (sale starts today) and Rexall have special 2pks in at $14.99, they all seemed sparkly

I can actually contribute to this thread! Because I cook all the time, I NEVER have polish on my hands. My toes- always done, but not my hands. But as of yesterday, that changed. My little man, with DH's help decided on giving me for Christmas : Quo Mega Plum- LOVE IT! It is a super glitter nail polish with a soft plum haze on silver. It is out of my norm, but I love it! DH had to tell me that DS sat (yep sat) in SDM looking at all the colours and decided that this was the one. Not sure how long this will last on my hands, but enjoying it for now.
ROAK a Huggies or Pampers code to my local pregnancy centre- toys, clothes, food & diapers always needed!

For likely the first time in my life I wore the same nail polish for 9 days, its coming off tomorrow because there is significant growth (it was meant to come off today but I couldn't decide which colour to do them lol)
As you can see from my ugly close up - no tipwear (I wrapped the tips this time since the nails were long enough)

Found this on clearance at Target today for $3. I couldn't pass it up because I have been curious about these little artsy polish pairs.
the pink color and the way I applied it feels a little dorky... i'm going to have to play with it a bit to see how i really feel.
