This week's Email Direct has a coupon for 50% off on Olay Skin Care. As I had one $2 off coupon left, when I went grocery shopping today at Safeway I had to check if the deal included Quench lotion. It did! Regular price for the lotion was $8.99, after 50% off and the $2 coupon, it was $2.49 plus HST. So if you still hold on to these coupons, the Safeway deal might be the last chance to use them up before they expire.
I am still relatively new here, so hope it helps.

Oops I should have been more specific, I meant to as if you could use manufacturer coupons in addition to the safeway airmiles coupon? Ie. $100 but use $10 of coupons to bring the total to 90. I figure it might depend on the cashier but I'm wondering if the system allows it.
Thanks operabob!

You could use $10 in coupons on $110 and get the 100 AMs.
I think the $100 to $90 would only work if you pass the Safeway coupon through first then the manufacturers. Then again the computers might be set to eliminate that possibility.

If I understand you correctly, you are asking if the AM reward is based on your OOP or like Shoppers the total value of the transaction, in which case you can use manufacturer coupons to bring down the OOP. I suspect Safeway adopts the former mechanism. I once used a similar coupon along with another manufacturer coupon worth like $2 that brought down the total under the threshold (I miscalculated, silly). The Cashier put through everything but I didn’t get the reward. However, it’s just anecdotal evidence, and it could be other reasons that I didn’t get the AMs. You can always try. In addition, as operabob suggests it doesn't matter which coupon(s) they put through first, once they've entered the PLU #, swiped you Safeway card and your AM card, computer does the rest. Good luck!

Went down to my friendly Safeways and got the AM Bonus on GC, but then I see I also got regular AM...is this just a special circumstance, or do we always get it on (presumably non-Safeway) GC's???
