A question... What are the Q points good for?
I have been trying to read the thread, and also play around with the Club Q website... I am liking it!!!!!At the right time, a kind word from a stranger, or encouragement from a friend, can make all the difference in the world. Kindness is free, but it's priceless. ~ Doe Zantamata

I repeat my belief that someone "in the know" reads this thread ...
The options are now:
Ferdinand Celine
Leo Szilard
Alexander Doble
I'm going to guess the TDICH question was something like: Who was kidpnapped by the FLQ during the October Crisis?
However, in keeping with today's National theme, they have changed the question:
On November 28th 1970, what team won the 58th Grey Cup in the Canadian Football League?
Stampeders
Alouettes
Roughriders
The answer is Alouettes
(Woofy - maybe this was why you were a tad confused!)Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Back from Winter Woofstock. My arm is killing me from having to carry the short one around (didn't want an international incident to occur should he bop a Borzoi or kick a Keeshond). He behaved impeccably & even had a pic taken with Santa. I did manage to insult a gal from the Humane Society, when I mentioned their advice on what I should do with Q when he came in from the cold - she politely bur firmly sent me packing. Guess she didn't want potential donations lost. Q started to fade the last 10 minutes we were there, but it was more the annoyance of slipping off my shoulder cause my arm was tired & then starting to overheat. I think he made a few people's day - one lady was almost in tears petting him, she'd just lost a cat who looked like Q.
All in all a good day. Now he's napping - probably dreaming about all the dogs he could have taken on if only I'd let him.

Sorry no one answered this question for you but most of them are poor losers. You will notice on the Q site that there is a place to enter draws for all kinds of prizes and you do so by using the points you earn Some time ago we had a vote on this forum what to do with any prizes that were won and it was agreed on by all that we would send them to the member know as Stewy. Hope this helps.
Have A Nice Day...Stewy

Click under "Use Points" and select "enter to win" and "current" for their list of prizes... when you click on an item, select "show more info". Note that the "L" prize is exclusively for Q107, but the "MM" prize is shared amongst all of the Corus stations....
Hope that helps!!

Movie Review: Red (Retired, Extremely Dangerous)
About a group of top CIA agents, now retired, whose knowledge of certain events has made them targets themselves.
It is an action comedy that doesn't miss an opportunity to entertain. Witty comedic repartee, one liners, "comedic" action as well as "pure" action. It even has a sense of romantic comedy thrown in at a couple different levels.
It was extremely enjoyable; highly recommended. I'm glad I didn't wait for it to come out on The Movie Network - which is where I usually catch my movies. I figure if I'm paying for the cable channel, why spend my $$ at the theatre AND catch it on the TMN in a rerun?
Movie Experience - This trip to the theatre re-enforced my TMN decision.
The man behind us decided to explain almost all the one-liners to his date. Really .... if she didn't get it, maybe you shouldn't be dating her!! Either she's too stupid or too young; regardless, not a good match for you.
Shortly before the movie started, there was sudden, very strong, almost dank odor. Akin to what the dishcloth or washcloth smells like after it has been balled up completely wet and left to dry out. It dissipated somewhat during the course of the movie but really put a damper on the overall enjoyment level. After the movie was over, hubby laughed and said he figured out the source of the odour .... a total idiot three seats over from him had taken off his shoes and had hooked his feet over the chair in front of him.
Maybe when they do the "turn your phones off" public announcement, they should also remind people to keep their shoes on!!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.
