Bf and I went to SDM yesterday evening aroung 5:15 pm we were in a big rush but I wanted to just see if they had the Fuji s1600 camera that was in the flier for 179. If they didn t have it our plan was to leave and come back on Sunday when we had more time to shop for just "stuff"

so we go to the camera area and the camera wassnt even on display but the tag was still there. I was assuming they didn t have any left but asked anyways. To my supprise the girl said they did and went and started looking in a cubbard. Bf and I started mumbling to eachother that she is probably mistake and doesnt realize what camera we were talking about.

A few mins later she turns around with the camera we were looking for in hand and says it was supposed to be on hold for someone and calls the manager and asks if she can sell it to us. Thankfuly they let her and we got a fancy shmancy new camera that I ve been wanting for ages for FREE :D we then rushed around the store looking for other things to fill the order to 250.00.. we got 3 x cheese... 10x soft lipts but all with coupons so they were free....yogurt... 2 x chocolate cups.. 1 x chocolate dessert cups ....paper towles...kleenex... toothpaste for my sis ... chips and pop for the bf .... I am sure there were a few other things ... out of pocket we spend 30 something dollars and left the store happier then pigs in poop!
I do however wish I had a little more time so we could have spend the last 70.00 a little more frugally and got a better bag for our buck but the most important thing was getting the camera.

Great job!! I would've done the same thing. Run around the store and just buy whatever in case the person who had the camera on hold shows up. Start the car!!

I got the same camera! But I have to take mine back as it doesn't work. How is yours working? I hope its not a dud like mine. Love the camera though -really hope to find a replacement one!!

qAWe no thats too bad! ..hopefully they will get more in so you can exchange it ...I havent had a chance to figure it out too much yet but I thnk it works fine...It takes pictures lol I think the bf figured out how to take videos while he was playing with it.... There s just so many buttons I don t know where to start lol

I've been fooling around with it and so far I've been mega-disappointed in the quality of the pictures. On auto focus, with flash, in livingroom, and it's super-fuzzy. I am also planning on returning it for another of the same model that hopefully works a little better. If not, I'm not sure what to do.

I was playing wiht mine a little bit tonghit too on auto and it was a bit fuzzy...thought I might have been doing something wrong...eeek I was so excited about this camera I don t want it to be crummy
