I got mine today and I must say....this product is AMAZING!!! I too....like everyone else was scared to use it. My hubby was with me to see since it was all I talked about since the campaign invite. I screamed a couple of times without it even touching my legs. So my hubby offered to do it on his tummy (he has a little bit of hair around the belly button) first...but no...I wouldn't have it. So I did it quickly and to my amazement....it did not hurt at all!! You do feel a few pinches. My hair was around 2-3 mm. I actually love the way it feels...kinda like a massage. Then I decided to go for the underarms....that went well too! It didn't grab all the hair but most of it. It could be because it is suppose to be meant for legs only. That's ok...I can just tweeze the few strays. So now that I'm very smooth and my hubby loves the feel he wanted me to test his tummy....so I did. HAHAHAHAHA.....he loved it too!!! And he said he wasn't too painful. Later this week....I might just try the bikini area!

Dumb question, but did you use the head thingy that came with it, or did you put one of those other covers on it?

My daughter used the head with the two rollers on it when she did her legs. I'm not totally sure what the purpose is of the other heads. Guess I'd better read the book more.

I got it today, and did not find it very painful, I did my legs and also my arms and loved the result. I found that it worked better with the original cover. What I did not like is that it kept stopping for some reason and shutting off. I think I got a bit defective product.

I could have written your whole post! I used the original head that came on it, and found it be the most painful - the other two were fine. Mine kept shutting off as well, but I was wondering if maybe I was pushing too hard and it's a safety mechanism or something? Doesn't matter - I love it! My DH is pretty impressed as well (in fact, he's the one that did my legs, to see how it worked!). The below my knees wasn't really long enough, so I'll try again tonight/tomorrow, but I did it above the knee and it works great.
SO happy I got in on this one!

Picked mine up from Canada Post on Monday - I think I have sufficient 'growth' to give it a try tonight after work. Excited!!!! Even if it hurts a lot I can see myself using this. Think of what I'll save on razors... except that I haven't paid for razors or shave gel in a couple of years... i also have quite the stockpile. Oh well - still excited!

Ok, so i tried mine out last night thinking i could do it no matter what, that i'm pretty good with pain and that i've had 2 kids and 4 tattoos but OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG are you kidding me???!!!! This was HORRIBLE! Like seriously! I was disappointed that it hurt that much! May be different for everyone but that's how my experience was. Felt worse or maybe equal to getting a tattoo, like needles scraping my legs and i gave up literally after less than a minute! Ugh!

I felt the same way, but managed to soldier it out and finish everything. But I really do know exactly what you mean.
The epidural only relieves contraction pain. Once you start pushing and the epidural has worn off, it's pain of epic proportions. And it doesn't get easier the second or third time either.

I am so with you! Although I've had no kids or tattoos, I'm normally pretty good with pain. I'm one who's face has literally been broken (well jaw) by being kicked by my horse... in the face!
I finally braved this epilator last night and holy hell!!
Let's just say I only did 1 leg, from the knee down... and I definitely missed some around my ankle. I've never even had my legs waxed before so maybe that's why I found it hurt so much?????? After suffering through one leg I decided I'd say no to the other. BUT, since I suffered through the one, I decided to shave the other and now i'm doing a comparison to see how the hair growth compares on each leg.
Oh and with all that said and done, I then figured why not and tried it on my bikini line and believe it or not, that didn't hurt.
So if anything, I'll just continue to use this on my bikini line especially if it means saving $ and not having to get it waxed before my wedding trip
