Also consider TSC stores for cheap seeds and occasional sales.

I am in the minority here. I will not buy cheap seeds. You get common varieties (sometimes mislabeled) with (often) poor germination. I guess if you are just starting out and you just want something to grow, it would be okay.
You can pay a little more and get fresh seeds that will keep for several years, just keep them in a cool airtight container. Most of the time, you can't even use up a whole seed pack in one season...although seed companies are getting more and more miserly with their packs these days.
It's not worth starting plants from seed unless you can give them a good start, which is letting them grow with adequate light so that they aren't too leggy and harden them off properly when it's time to plant them out. If you cannot do this, it's better to spend a bit more and get started plants.
