I envy you Lua, lol, wish i could go through with it. Did you do it after a bath or shower? I didn't but in the manual it states that that's when it's best used.

I did mine after a shower and I took some advil before but I still think the pain was comparable to getting my tattoos. I really do think it helps though if you have someone else do it. My boyfriend did my legs and when I tried to do it myself it hurt more. You could also try using ice to numb your legs a bit.

UPDATE:
OMG PAIN. Couldn't do it. It felt like needles scrapping my skin. I took a shower before hand but I'm not sure it helped. I'm going to shave my legs and try one more time because I wonder if the hair was too long? I tried it on my arm (which has fine, short hair) and it wasn't that painful at all. One more attempt. Glad I didn't spend $90 on this at this point.

I have yet to receive mine. But i'm assuming it gets easier as your skin gets used to it. Maybe your skin gets tougher i dunno but It's like waxing it hurts like hell the first couple of times but then it doesn't after awhile. I say keep trying ladies!!

For some reason I do not find it to be that painful. Only during first few seconds, and then i get used to it. I did the top of my arms, full legs. Today I did my underarms. I got red bumps after using it on my legs yesterday, but this morning they were gone and my skin was very smooth. I put lotion on my legs after epilating. I love that the cord is so long too. I think it gets better the more you use it. And it is definately less painfull then laser hair removal.

I just went to pick mine up today! It arrived by UPS but I wasn't home so I had to go to my nearest postal office to get it.
Excited to try it out later despite the painful stories shared by others hahaha

epidurals do not wear off...there continuously dripping it into you... they turn them down when your pushing so you can feel when to push a little better but you still do not feel the same feeling as a natural birth... plus the ending contractions are extremely painful and get progressively worse the more dilated you become.... (im not saying epidurals are bad but you cannot compare having an a baby with an epidural to having a baby without one). If it really felt the same when you were pushing you wouldn't have gotten the thing in the first place, would you have?
I agree with newmom... the epilator only hurts for a few seconds
(in new areas) and then it doesn't hurt anymoreEarn money for paypal at cashlagoon

I also found the areas with more fat on them hurt a lot more... like your inner thighs hurt a little more then areas like from your knee down

So I'm pretty sure Canada Post lost mine...I got into the campaign, and around the time that people started posting that their epilaters had arrived I got a delivery-notice in my mail box. When I went to pick up the package a day or two later I was told it wasn't at the post office yet and to try back the next day. The next time I went (another day or two later) I was told that it still wasn't there, and the first time it wasn't there someone should have taken down my name and number to call me when it came in. After the second time I went, I called Canada Post to figure out what is going on, but when I give them the number on the delivery card nothing shows up in their system, so now they've got someone trying to track down my package!

Got mine & tried it. It really isn't THAT bad... I mean I survived and have some pretty smooth legs to show. That said, legs is the ONLY area I'll be using this "beast". LMAO I didn't shower/bath beforehand either. I just read, opened and bzzzzzz'd away. LOL That sucker is loud though!

Update:
Ok, so after packing everything back into the box and feeling disappointed in my painful experience testing it out
i decided to give it one more go
. It is SO loud 1st off! Was afraid the sound would wake our toddler up. I sat in our unfinished basement to do it so i WOULDN'T wake him up (it's THAT loud!) The 1st 5-10 seconds of using the epilator are the worst, then your skin somehow becomes immune to the initial pain and then it's not so bad but still a little painful but more manageable. Our unfinished basement isn't well lit so i was thankful for the light that's on the epilator. I started with a good amount of hair on my legs (i started growing the hair when i found out i got accepted into this campaign). After completing both legs which took me about half an hour or so to do altogether i ran the epilator over my entire legs to ensure i got everything but they didn't come out completely smooth for me......not bad, still pretty smooth but i still feel tiny stubble that the epilator can't reach. I can't see the stubble, can only slightly feel it. I tried my underarms but forget that!
Ouch! Legs will be all i EVER do with this

i'm thinking i might end up giving it another go on the other leg now... yikes LOL
i used the epilator on my right leg Wednesday night ..... I shaved the left leg on Friday morning (or saturday? can't exactly remember)
I just checked now - the shaved leg is already picky and i can see the hairs (almost long enough to be epilated). The epilated leg is still sMOOTH! ... ok. that's pretty good.
Guess i'm really going to have to toughen up
