These stores aren't individually owned. Check at the customer service counter.

My credit card gives me an extended warranty and reward points - I would only go the gift card route if I wanted to help with the fundraiser.

to buy - I'm not sure as I order through a fundraiser

for where you can use them - they are the same cards you see at checkouts of RCSS, no frills etc and on the back you can see all the stores you can redeem at....Loblaws, no frills etc are all owned by the same parent company.

    This is an interesting idea.
We can't affoard $5000 for gift cards.
But we may be able to help out a school and get a discount on gift cards too.
    How does the school advertise?
Any problems with the gift card not working?

It's just the families (and whoever the families tell I guess) that do it. So I know we buy, my in laws and my husband's grandparents for example....so even though it's the families it can spread further than the immediate families in the school.

The school has a couple that runs the program and they send out email blasts to those who are part of the program (who they have an email addy for) and they will put it in the school newsletter.

I've never had a problem with one not working - not sure if it's ever happened but I think they keep track of all the gc's so they probably contact the company they buy them from.
