After admiring Chers1 picture taken in Allegany I was inspired to post this picture I took in Robert Treman State Park, just outside of Ithica New York.

What an absolutely beautiful area! I think I'll be going back to NY this summer. It's an economical vacation in a gourgeous spot!

But I do have to admit that the REAL reason for my trip was this:

Hi BD, AKA Elizabeth!!!....we took a trip down that way many years ago, it was really beautiful.....no racing going on, but I was 8 months pregnant, and we walked UP thru the Watkins Glen park....wow.....helluva trek tho, even if I wasn't doing my impersonation of a shopping cart......
....... there were underground caves we went to, as well....stayed in Lake Placid, wandered thru the old Olympic ski areas......really cool....forgot all about that trip till now, thanks for jogging the memories!!.....TR

Killing myself here. I lean more toward F1 and Indy/Champ myself. Regardless, I don't know too many women who admit to being interested in car racing in any form. And while I truly don't understand the race that only turns left, I will absolutley welcome you to the sisterhood!! (Or should that be the Women's Bonnet Club!!)

....not necessarily a car racing fan, but I freely admit to BBC Canada's TV show, "Top Gear" being one of my favourite shows on the planet......it's not all dry numbers and socket wrenches.....in fact, it's hilarious!!!...LMAO!!!.....TR

morning, all......up early here, feeling like crap, thanks to my caring-sharing sons, who bring colds into the house waaay too often for my liking.....still, if I can consider this a spring cold, I am OK with that......even tho I heard on the weather last night that we may get more snow by the end of the week (gasp!!)......horrors!!!....so best get out and enjoy this day.... many thanks to the overnighters who help everyone out with codes and words.....TR

That is a line I came up with prepering for being on the air from London. I had the time to be creative and wile I didnt perform the poem correctly the Q crew was VERY impressed with my... " never no where a couple of clicks on a mouse could take you" line. The producer grab me after and said... thats ours! LOL

I was surprised that no one at the Q had ever come up with that line before. It seamed so obvious to me.

I am very proud that they are using that line. Makes me part of da "urban legend" thats Q107!

I had a old co-worker email me to suggest I send a resume to a company where he just got hired and it linked over to one of the Carrier Builder / Workopolos style websites.
They ask you to check 3 boxes at the end of the character profile.
1. Aboriginal - yes
2. Disabled
3. Visible minority

Anyway, I couldn't really see what bearing these questions had on whether you were qualified to do the job? I also wasn't sure how to answer the visible minority question for a job in Toronto now a days. I know when I went to Cedarbrae 30 years ago there were something like 32 non white students out of 2,200. I hear the school is now 85% non white so who's the visible minority. I think a lot would depend on where you live? I don't mind them asking what languages you speak or read but I really think these recruiting companies need to reveiw their questions.

I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick...
I was just admiring my good work.
I didn't mean to 'click.'

But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.

So nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's as shiny as the sun.
I guess my house will stay a mess.....
While I sit here on my bum.
