God bless all SCers who think of those in need and act upon it. You have inspired me. It is my hope, in some small way, to help those who seek shelter at the Elgin Street Mission. The shelter needs bar soap, laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorants, etc. Dear SCers I welcome any and all advice on how to maximize my spending dollar. Unfortunately, the stores in my town do no stack coupons. Thank you for your wisdom.

Each week there is a thread made in the deals forum called hot coupon deals of the week, it shows you what you can get for under $1 with coupons in green and what you can get for free (or just taxes) in red
I always use that for choosing shelter donation stuff

Maybe you can trade for some FPC's from the people in the west by sending them some stackable cpns in return .
Say someone in the west sends you a $ 5.00 FPC in return for say $ 25.00 in stackable cpns from you , which they can then use in London Drugs to get almost FREE products worth $ 25.00 like diapers etc ..so its a win win for both of you , as although they are giving you a FPC even they are getting products from LD for almost FREE with stacking which is almost like a FPC

TJ is consistently full of good ideas!
Always look in clearance sections, ALWAYS! And never skip looking through a flyer because you don't generally shop at that store. Price matching is a godsend.
Also, if you find coupons for a product you need or will need, take a couple. You don't need to buy bar soap that's $4 a package just because there's a $1 off coupon beside it. I take mine and lay in wait until there's a good sale, and I jump on it! I haven't paid more than 20 cents for a bar of soap since I started couponing, and I haven't paid a cent for bodywash!
Visit your doctor and dentist! Not only is that good for you, but people constantly post about finding coupons in the offices for health and oral hygiene products. That's a great place to find them.

big bertha is right
- always look at clearance
-buy thing on sale or price match - i always price match and use a coupon on top of matching - get stuff for next to nothing
- go on coupon trains or join them - then you can get rid of coupons you dont need and get great ones in return n- to use for your shelter donations
- or do trades on s.c for other good coupons
- lay low and wait for the sales - like today zellers had 50% all clearance health and beauty - so i went with couon folder - i got gillette body wash 4.99-50%= 2.50-1.00= 1.50 for mens body wash not free but cheaper- plus i got small bars of glceryin soap for only 49-50%=.24 cents -they had a bunch too - they would make a good shelter item
