Bf/insert rant!

I've been really really busy with my university exams and haven't had much time to coupon..so I put all my inserts from the past two weeks (P&G and Smartsource) by my bed. Today I go looking for this bag because exams are done and I really need to start clipping! I am horrified that I can't find this bag so I asked my BF where it his. My lovely BF said that he might have thrown it away when he was cleaning up!! This was on the weekend and our garbage/recycling was collected on Monday! I'm sooo upset you have no idea! The worst is he doesn't seem to realize what a big deal it was! Grr I needed those P&Gs!!!

My husband does this kind of stuff too! I shove the few precious inserts I get from mom into a shoebox marked "coupons" until I can sort through them. Maybe you should use a box or envelope and clearly label it, and tell him that it's off limits. My husband doesn't even go NEAR that box

Good idea! I don't think my BF knows how important coupons are!! LOL

oh no!! i guess i'm lucky. My husband has started to notice how much we save with coupons and brings home every coupons he sees now.... even really garbage ones that wont get used or traded haha. Hope you get some inserts!

OH NO!!!! that is bad lol. Well at least he did clean up lol. But I know how you feel. My DH knows not to touch my coupons and if he see's any on the table he knows to not touch and leave them lol.

oh wow that's a real problem. on the one hand he did clean and if you make too big a deal out of he he might stop cleaning completely. on the other hand he needs to know that's a lot of "money" he just threw out. i agree with having a set spot for keeping your coupons you really want to keep.

I'm lucky dh does all the cleaning (i do a tiny bit of tidying up but dh redid all my work when i cleaned so i stopped wasting my time). I'm guilty of leaving my coupons out once in a while when i open the mail and get sidetracked by ds needing/wanting something. in the past dh has thrown out these coupons. but now that he knows how much work i put into getting them and how much money they save up he cuts them out and puts them away for me. he really started appreciating my couponing once we had ds as these savings really help since dh is the only one working. (and soon we will have 2 boys)

Yikes!!! All of my couponing stuff goes into a couple of drawers in an plastic "Iris" cart in our family room. I learned quickly that no one else can be trusted around my coupons...especially my spouse.
