I went to the auction today. The one where they sell the leftovers from hme depot, Costco HSBC and a fe other big stores. Many of you know I am redoing my kitchen. I have been looking at the glass tiles and marble mix for my backsplash. The tiles are at the cheap end $14.99 for 1 sheet that is 12 X 12. Sooo, I went to the auction because I saw they had a bunch for sale this week. I got the exact tiles I was looking at for $3.00 a sheet. With gst and buyers fee, still less than $5 so saved 75%
I'm so very happy.
Here is the pic I promised of the tiles I bought

That is an amazing price! I've never been to an auction (don't own a house yet, so I guess I probably should lol....I'll buy more than I can store at home!), but you have given me a good idea for when we do! I wonder if they do auctions pretty much everywhere for that type of stuff.....hhhmmmm....

In most major cities, if you check with your bigger auction houses (just give them a call) and ask if they do auctions for the stores you are looking for, you will find the one that does. Even in smaller centers, they do them. My auction house here in Alberta has been doing them for over 12 years. I used to go every Saturday, get awsome deals, but these days I'm not able to go as often as I like. Still nice to go though, I've had the same number for years, special parking out back by the door and I know everyone. Was really nice to go yesterday and see so many old friends and visit for a bit. After 3 hours though it was time to come home, I was sooo tired. Today, I'm still in bed
Glad dh is gone to a car show, lol.
