Went to Rexall today to take advantage of the Neutrogena Clinical with 50 Airmiles and the rebate... and before I went I prepared one of the best coupon shopping trips of my life to date! (I did the Neutrogena Clinical on a separate transaction just to make sure... I was nervous after reading about the Glade rebate fiascos!)
Rexall has some decent sales on right now, like Huggies mega diapers for $12.49 apiece, and I made an effort to use coupons on those awesome sale items.
My list:
-3x Glade Jar candles - 3.99 on sale plus BOGO coupon AND $2 off coupon
-2x Always infinity - 4.49 on sale plus $2.25 WUB2 coupon
-2x Huggies mega - 12.49 on sale plus 2x $3 off coupon
-2x Nice n' Easy hair dye - 5.99 on sale plus $5 WUB2 coupon
-2x Crest ProHealth rinse - 3.49 on sale plus 2x $1 off coupon
-1x Scope outlast - 3.49 on sale plus $1 off coupon
-2x DayQuil - 7.99 on sale plus 2x $2 coupon
-2x Head and Shoulders - 6.49 on sale plus 2x $2.50 off coupon
-2x CG Smoothers - 4.99 on sale plus $3 WUB3 coupon
Total Regular Price: $155.32
Total Sale Savings: $49.50
Total Coupons Redeemed: $44.24
Total OOP: $63.08!!!
I know this pales in comparison to some of the awesome brags on this forum, but it was a big accomplishment for me and I just had to share it with the SC world!

All brags are worth sharing...

It inspires me too, as I am just starting to collect coupons.

Congrats! Welcome to the 'savers league'!
Don't be surprised it it feels frustrating for a bit. I used to have such a chaotic 'system'... all the cashiers in town hated me.
Something I tend to do now is keep scotch tape in my purse. Then, as I'm shopping, I use the tiniest amount of scotch tape to stick coupons onto the products. No flipping through bits of paper at the till, no more losing coupons out of the bottom of the cart!
The beginning is slow for most couponers, but after a while you'll notice that every shopping trip gets better!
Keep careful track of every penny you save, because when it starts to pile up you'll feel amazing. Every little bit is worth something in the long run, am I right?
My hubby and I have a rule... every mail-in-rebate I send for that comes by cheque gets deposited into our daughter's trust account. Since there isn't much I can do with a 4-dollar cheque, it gives me the motivation to send for any and all of them.

Great job. Was that the Rexall in Trenton or Belleville? I've always had really good luck with the Rexall in Trenton. They are always very friendly and have no problem with the coupons.

It was the Belleville Rexall, which is also always great for me. My only problem with them is you have to check your receipt right away, because sometimes the sale price isn't what comes up at the till. A few times I've been overcharged for things, and if I find out once I've left, I always feel too embarrassed to go back and make them fix it, especially if it's like a dollar or two. LOL.
