Thread: My April Deals *pics*
-
Fri, May 4th, 2012, 06:16 PM #1
I've only been couponing for a little over a year now. I started couponing last April, but when school started in September it was hard to juggle school, homework, work and couponing. But now that I'm done school, I can return to couponing
. I've been following Smartcanucks since I've started, but I've only made this account recently, and this is my very first post ever!! So these are all the deals that I've gotten throughout April. I'm not sure how good they are, but I've saved my family a lot so any savings is good savings
.

There was a woman in line behind me who was saying that she wanted to get some of that Laundry detergent, so I gave her my Rexall flyer and the 2 leftover coupons I hadn't used. I recently bought a new binder so all my coupons are just a mess and so I can't quite walk around with my binder just yet. So that's it, hope my first post is a big hitlol.

WOW, a lot of info, lol. Great job of keeping track of all that and coping it down, I wouldn't have the patience. You got some great deals, and I'm happy to hear you saved your family so much money.
I never take my percentages from the regular retail price. I like to know my actual savings so I take it from whatever the price is of the product that I am purchasing on that day. It gives you a true perspective of what you actually saved. I usually would never pay FULL PRICEfor anything so by doing that, it's not a true savings.
I can't believe you got so much stuff in such a short amount of time. You must have a nice stockpile started. Post your pics of it. I love looking at people's stock piles....I sit here in awe....and yes, Ii have to wipe the drool froom my mouth
GREAT BRAG!We all need a little sunshine every now and then

you should get the ticker so that you can keep track of your savings for the year and see how much you save and then try to beat that savings the next year. i love using it very helpful and great motivatorhave a great weekend

Great brag! I feel you about taking a break during the school year, I had to do the same this year. I'm taking advantage of my "off" time until June 15th when I'm back in classes.

Yea they had the hair product coupons, but they also had the ones for any dove body wash.
Yea I decided to keep documents of all my trips so that I can make a scrap book at the end of the year and show my family what we've saved
I like to calculate the savings from the regular price because we used to buy things at regular price when we would run out. Like laundry detergent, deodorant and body wash. I remember spending $4 on deodorant when I ran out, and my parents would by Tide for regular price when they ran out and now I cringe when I look at the regular price and realize that we actually used to pay those prices once. But not anymore, nor EVER again!!
For my stockpile, I will post pics soon. Right now they're in this little pantry and an old change table, and a couple of boxes in my basement lol. But I actually just bought a shelf from walmart today , so once that's set up I'll try and post some pics.
The ticker sounds like a good idea, thanks.
And thanks for all the support SCersLast edited by frugalfun; Sat, May 5th, 2012 at 05:16 PM.

What a great summary of your shops. I keep a book and jot down my coupon savings. Also I list my free items in there. MIR's and money I make from surveys etc. Its nice to look back on at the end of they year and see how those cents off coupons really add up. My first year $4200 and second $6100 ( and that is just coupon amount. Not the sales or anything to go with it). So keep track for sure.
