Hi
I am hoping to go on vacation in NL and Labrador, I need some advice on where a good, not expensive place to stay and any activities that are in your area in mid-July. I have checked the tourism site but holy smokes it's has so many options, it got confusing!
I have not picked an actual location to visit yet, but with a little SCer's help I hope it becomes easier to choose a place. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi - NL tends to be very expensive in the summer (due to short season). If you are planning to go to the St. John's area - book now - we are a popular place for conferences from May-October.
Keep in mind the ferry costs if you are driving (Marine Atlantic). Central NL is very nice (Gander, Terra Nova Park, Grand Falls, and the Bonavista Peninsula). Camping is always fun as well and probably a lot cheaper!

Butterpot Park is really nice, and if you want to stay in the city - Pippy Park is awesome. It's right in the city but feels like a park! Lamanche on the Southern Shore is a beautiful spot as well.

I'm from NS, but we went camping in NL about six years ago. We went to Gros Morne National Park, OMG it was amazing! We were there for ten days and didn't see it all, it was damp but we had a great time.
