    I'm planning to purchase the Kindle 3G with free wifi from Amazon.com. Is there any discount codes out there? TIA.

    I'm not having any luck with the golden box. All the deals were not applicable to the Kindle.

    There aren't any that I've found. I have the Kindle with the Wifi and 3G, you're going to love it. I don't think I could go back to reading real books now!

    I got mine using swagbucks and irazoo. That way it was free, but it will take a bit of time to get that many saved up.

    Thank you. I think it's too late to start swagbucks since i'm planning to get it for my hubby for valentine's day. I'm glad to hear that you like yours. I heard/read a lot of good reviews.

    If you want to try it out, you can download a kindle app for your Ipod and their free books are great. Used it on vacation.

    Get him the colour kindle, my friends in the States love theirs.

    The color one isn't a Kindle, it's a Nook from Barnes and Noble. It's not bad but it's backlit (like the iPad) so reading for extended periods can cause eye strain. the Kindle isn't backlit so you can read as long as you want. I use mine for hours at a time.

    i agree with the backlit issue.. it does tend to cause eye strain vrs a non-blacklit (e-ink) style.. i have a sony ereader and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT, i'd never go back to real books for daily reading.. heck just the amount of space i've saved in my home due to not buying books makes it worthwhile

    Best deal right now if you are near a US boarder is at Best Buy.
