Called sleep country to find out what the deal was on the pillow. It is $29 for the pillow and slip cover with "cooling technology". Sounds neat, but this coupon is not required to get the deal. The sales guy said they must have messed up the print job. Save your scissors for some thing else!

I wondered about that. I asked DH what he thought it meant. I contemplated called SC to ask them but forgot all about it. Today I was seperating all the sheets in the insert and I just decided to throw that particular page out anyways as I didn't think anyone would want a coupon for a pillow.

I wouldn't call it a fake coupon, just an error. To call it a fake coupon makes it sound like someone is trying to scam someone.

I wouldn't go so far to call it a "fake coupon". That's a bit extreme. It wasn't a coupon at all. Just because there were dotted lines around the photo of the pillow doesn't make it a coupon.

I just thought the title of "misleading advertising involving a coupon like cut out" was a little long...

A coupon has a savings price unless it's an FPC, and 99.9% of the time there will be an expiry date with the exception of the odd NED coupon. This was NOT a coupon, nowhere on it did it say it was a coupon, give any coupon description or anthing. It was merely an advertisment. Nothing fake about that.

It was an advertisement in a coupon booklet.
It was the size, shape and look of a coupon, featuring dotted lines and scissors icon for cutting it out.
I have never before seen a non-coupon advertisement that so resembled a coupon ever before.TRADING COUPONS: FOOD, DENTAL, SOAP / BODY WASH/DEODORANT, SPECIAL CREAMS, MAKEUP, HEALTH, AIR FRESHNERS, HAIRCOLOUR, CLEANING, HAIRCARE/ SHAMPOO, DIAPERS, SHAVING, PET, MEDICINE,LAUNDRY, STORES, LONDON BUSINESSES, FAST FOOD, BATTERYPRODUCTS, CHILDREN FOOD and TOY, SMOKING CESSATION and lots more !!
