I have never tried the diffrent expiry dates because I have had issues sometimes with the upc code.I guess depends who you get.

at my LD if an item is $5.99 and I have 3x $2 coupons...they would only let me use 2 of the coupons because they will not let the coupons exceed the value of the product and they will no longer adjust the amount of the coupon.

My experience with RO is that they adjust, I recall getting a reach toothbrush for 0.99 and had the $1 off coupon and they adjusted to 0.99. For me thats good enough as the LD near my place would not accept or adjust the coupon.

Ok RO LD shoppers Do they let you adjust the coupon value to make an item tax only, or do you have to pay the $0.99 difference or whatever it is? Also you are allowed to PM as many # of products as you like right? and does the different expiry date thing fly there? Just wondering if its worth it for me to drive all the way to RO to do my stacking trip Thanks

I have never had a problem with RO LD adjusting the price down the penny; I almost always only pay tax because I price match everything. They price match no problem, no limits and they are very nice about it. They don't really even seem to check the date on the flyer; but they all know me there!! My last shop was HUGE as I price matched the Superstore flyer, my cashier was great so I contacted LD thru their website and complimented this person on their great service. It is a lot of extra work for them, and I am happy to get such great deals.

i go at night and seem to get all the new cashiers, I guess because they are pt going to school and they arent too crazy about stacking so I dont push my luck with PMing

I like the Heritage location so far but they won't let me do multiple PM on the same item. I tried to PM a few soup from 58 cents to 50 and she would only let me do one. Yeah I suppose I was being cheap but i was excited about using my first stack and getting them free I was only expecting to get 6 or 8 which was what they were limited to in the LD flyer and the superstore flyer.

I also wanted to do 2 of the Profusion razor's (PM RCSS for $5.99) but they said just 1. I think within reason should be fine. ie not clearing out the shelves but maybe a couple of something should be fine though. I wish I knew what the rules really were so I could plan ahead better! Some gray areas seem to be:

will they accept same coupon with multiple expiry?
will they PM more than 1 item if it is within reason?
if you buy 3 items, can you use a WUB3 and also WUB2 together?
Can you use multiple of WUB2 or WUB3 if they are different coupons?

These seem to vary by cashier/location.

I certainly would not complain as I feel so lucky to have the LD and stacking option but it would be nice to go in with a set plan and not feel like I am getting away with something if it works or annoyed if it doesn't because my pricing is then off.

Ok, I see it's time for me to come out and clarify LD coupon stacking policy

First of all, according to the rule, for the validity of stacking, cpns have to be from diff. sources, at least diff. UPC code. Exp. dates play no role in stacking except when you use the cpn, it has to be b4 the cpn expires. I understand from Goddess that Richmond LD will take any cpns as long as something is diff like exp. date. Well, I guess at least LD would still get money back as manufacturer could not tell these cpns are from the same customer on the same transaction for the same stack. But so far, I have heard only Richmond LD doing it consistently. Not RO LD unless u get a new cashier that don't know much abt stacking. If you are lucky, u might get a "don't care/have no time to check everything" cashier that will just take anything and everything.

Secondly, LD is only required to price match one item, any more quantity is at the discretion of store/manager and availability of product. Having said that, RO LD is the only store so far that will pretty much price match any quantity they have available. Richmond, they have to call and verify if in stock. Beddington and Brentwood, don't have to call but usually only PM one, might once in a while, if u met a nice cashier could let u price match more than one. I know, I know, those save $x WUB X would be hard to use.

Yes, if u buy 3 items, u may use a WUB3 and WUB2 together. And yes, u may use multiple of WUB2 or WUB3 if they are different coupons, that is diff. refers to diff. UPC (pls see my first point above)

Lastly and most importantly, pls give me all the rep first b4 reading further as this will probably change your life Last year, there was a SCer posted LD coupon policy here at SC, in there, it actually stated LD will and should adjust coupon value to avoid going over the price of product. They even give example, (not word for word) like if the item is $1.79 and customer presents two $1 cpns from diff. sources, cashier shall enter the first cpn as $1 and the last cpn to be the residual amt up to the price of the product. That was from last year, not sure if it has changed. Now, if u just ask for LD coupon policy online, it will not include this "coupon value adjustment" point. So if want this printed on paper, I suggest u ask specifically or give example abt if they would adjust cpn. With that being said, RO LD always adjust automatically. In my experience, so is beddington, they enter cpn value right at the very cent, as they are very careful to not let any amt goes toward the tax. Brentwood, some staffs know, some don't. Not sure abt Heritage side.

Hey friends!

So last night I ended up at the Richmond LD. I had 10 minutes before it closed to pay for my stacks, so the CS lady was a little upset with me. However I am still a newbie, but was completely organized with my order. My receipt was a little steep, but the CS lady wasn't willing to go through the receipt to see what SHE had missed. I felt pressured to just purchase and leave, as there was a lineup behind me.
When I got home I broke down my bill and realized I had paid for the hair dye, as she typed in 1.40- instead of the 14.00-. This happened twice on the bill, and was what I did not catch. So my question is: can you dispute situations like this? I paid for 4 boxes of hairdye, technically twice. $14.00x2 in coupons + $20.00 cash for 4 boxes of hair dye. Not only that, BUT IT WAS THE WRONG COLOUR.

I feel as if I failed as a couponer. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? I'd hate to end up with 4 natural brown hair colors @ 15.00 a box when I have black hair

^ at the very least, I'm sure you could bring the colour back and exchange for the correct one...not sure about the coupon discreprency though. The only time this happened to me, I noticed before I left the store and they recounted all my coupons and corrected it.

oh, and FYI God help anyone who tries to stack when the assistant manager is on duty at LTS LD!!!! If he's working I would suggest not even trying and coming back a different day!!! I don't know his name but he is around 40 with short salt and pepper hair and always wears a white shirt. The last 2 times I've tried to stack when he's been there, I've had nothing but issues.

I'm sure you could exchange the color and if you just approach customer service with a conversational tone, saying that you are new, and you made a mistake in coming in too late and so you weren't able to check your receipt before you left. I bet they still have their cashout and could look it up for you - the coupon stack might even still be in some searchable fashion. But who knows. But if you approach it like, hey, what do you think? Is it possible to verify the error?

I would do it that way or I would just walk away form it and move on. Depends how confident I was feeling that week And earlier this week i went to the till when they were 15 mins from closing (no line up though). I apologized profusely bc I thought they closed one hour later. They seemed to appreciate my awareness of their time and in the end we were done with 2 mins to spare anyway as I was very organized. And the CS was training another woman so it would have been even faster otherwise. (This was Heritage).
