How to announce a pregnancy to friends and loved ones?

In case people are wondering why I'm looking at baby things again, I came across a baby registry on one of my fave sites while looking around at gear prices.
When I ran some names into the registry finder, I found one I was not anticipating. However, I have a gift ready but was really keen on finding some other items in stock at stores. Budget reality is that I cannot get gift fever like last year. I have other expenses!

Not to mention it's getting concerning how shipping rates bump up gift budgets too.

Came across this on-point and very good Youtube video on Baby Registry mistakes! Still valid information two years after it was posted! She mentions which sizes of diapers people should consider buying for the new baby/baby-to-be given short periods of time for newborn diaper use!

Sharing the news on Instagram seems popular, complete with any gender-reveal props, ultrasound images or baby things. Guess that is more aligned with wanting to reach as wide a group of people who may be interested in knowing.

Since I was watching the Kardashians Season Three and looking constantly on Youtube for teaser trailers for next episodes, I often found talk show or other channel content on Kourtney & Travis Barker as well.

Kourtney announced her pregnancy at her husband's concert with a posterboard sign.

This week, I learned of a new baby coming into our extended family through a relative.
I've checked for gift registries and have not found any.
Have decided on one baby outfit and cash to give in the near future. Need a card too.

Heard of a second baby through the grapevine. Also cannot locate a registry (Amazon, Babylist, The Bump, BuyBuyBaby, MyRegistry). I have added some prospective ideas I wish I could get (to a store wishlist I modify) but if I do send any gift, it'll be for the grandparents to be in the summer time. The expecting couple have a large social circle likely to gift the bigger ticket baby gear items.

Just perused The Bay and Indigo-both websites have very limited baby gear items or are clearing them out. Indigo is leaning more into soft goods or small items for babies as well as toys.

Found the baby registry two days ago for baby two. Some items are expected and some items are not expected. However, I intend to gift the grandparents-to-be with something of their own.

News of New baby for early 2025 was shared at family event. Must admit to mixed feelings as I won't be able to gift anything and am not likely to live to see him or her. I did havesomething set aside from years ago buti donated items last year given the passing of years. The irony is real.

A friend recently told me she found out that she will become a grandparent later this year. I am so EXCITED for her, as I felt by this year, she would receive such news.

Have noticed some auction sites have baby products and household items in open auctions, so if anyone is looking for car seats, playards and toys, use the keyword search for brand names OR generic item names.
