Multibionita Vitamin $10.00 coupon - fraudulent

I went to Rexall this a.m. to get my free vitamins only to be shown a fax rec'd from the Rexall Head Office stating not to accept the $10.00 coupon as it was fraudulent. Multibionita (? spelling) only has $3.00 & $5.00 off coupons.

The coupon is real and valid, but apparently Multibionta offered the $10 off coupon on their site as a thanks for taking a survey. Therefore, it was only meant to be used once by that one person, but it`s been reproduced and used by everyone.
On their facebook page before they verified that it was a real coupon, I guess they backtracked on that and are now spreading the word that it`s fraudulent since they were losing so much money on it..

This doesn't surprise me at all. I am very frustrated with those who have knowingly abused this coupon - and as the previous poster said, this was only to be used ONCE per person. It's also important to stay honest here and not post pdfs of such coupons for everyone to print.

That coupon was just fine at several locations this week.
I used it at the same store twice, including this afternoon at about 4pm.
The staff were familiar with it and I had no problem at all.

My friend went to 3 different store locations as well this week and had no issues.
Staff checked that coupon thoroughly.

Summary: 6 stores this week say "not fraudulent coupon"

While I agree with fradulant use, I don't have much respect for companies who put out printed coupons which out thinking of implications only to find it is used much more than they realized. They enjoy the increase sales and word of mouth for their product, but then are upset when it is more widely used than they originally realized (i.e. Zellers).

There are many ways to limit circulation of a coupon. It can easily be printed with a name so as it track who was overusing or use a coupon printer (much like smartsource.ca) to limit number of copies printed per person and/or computer.

Just my two cents. :D

I think that you should all call head office of Rexall and Multibionta because the problem was fixed a while back and now Rexall does take them and if you are refused you are suppose to call their head office

Apparently the only coupons that Multi-B.... only has $3.00 & $5.00 coupons that are real....the manager showed me the fax.
