I dont know. Maybe it's just me, but i like it simple. Since my hubby seemed to take 4ever to do the pros and cons in marrying me, i just got tired of waiting and told him the date and where to show-up and we got married. Heck, i even offered him a ride since i was using our car..LOL!!!

I guess thats more romantic than what my neighbor did - proposing to his g/f on Face book. I would have LOL'ed if she replied NO to his post.

I guess I'm in the minority. I loved it! It actually brought a tear to my eyes when you think about how much effort this guy put into it to make this a memorable proposal and to include the parents was awesome!
I just wonder how he plans to keep this kinda thing up for their wedding, annversarys, etc.... lol

I don't know, man. Don't like public proposal. It's supposed to be a private matter between the two, and maybe immediate family.
For my friends, a lot of the public proposal are fake. They have plans to get married for several years. Saved up money and plan for years to have that proposal with professional help. It just sucks the romance out of it. My friends in the wedding planning business also say that it is getting more popular to fake the proposal for the sake of Facebook.
Even if it is real, the girl was coerced to say yes. You can't be the a-hole on Youtube who said no to a guy who does this "nice thing". Maybe it's just me, I just prefer it private. I'd probably dump my boyfriend if he does any surprise party or public proposal. It just shows he doesn't know me!

I loved it! Brought tears to my eyes too. Then my next thought was, where is my DH? I need to hit him. He never purposed to me. Even though ours was a "love marriage" my mom fixed the date. I am east indian if that helps.
