Unfortunately that is not the reason why I am tired lol. (wish it was) but, I think it is because of me changing my diet and really cutting out certain things. So I think my energy levels are just crashing! I will be ok though, it is just going to take some time for my body to get use to the new diet.

    Did not know that. Thanks!
I was watching something the other day about how your nails tell a lot about you , I always have hangnails, nasty ones that always rip. It turns out I could be lacking protein, which I would believe 100% to be true, not because of vegetarian diet, I just don`t like handling it. If I do it's chicken and that's rare. Don`t like eggs, hate beef, not too fond of pork... and fish I`m super picky.

I was debating if that was too personal or not, sorry about that. You know if you eat real meat, not the processed stuff, lean stuff, it's one of the lower calorie foods out there, sort of in between vegetables and grains. When I changed my diet I analysed all my grocery bills and found there was this sort of "condiments" food group which was all sweet sauces and rich ingredients to make up gravies. I have switched over to using dry spices in place of a sauce and that was very good for my budget and waistline. (He was complaining, anyway..."Why do we always have to have Thai food, Chinese food, why can't we have Canadian food? Salt and pepper!")

When I went veg I had the grossest most extreme bruising. I think vitamin k has something to do with this? I once rested a CRT computer monitor on my thigh for a moment and I came away with a livid purple bruise, a full leg width across that dripped down to my knee. I mean I was like a rotting banana. Zombie flesh. There was no denying something was up.

I still say, watch what you cut out. I still work with a nutritionist because I had eating issues in the past. You can go for free and see a community dietitian and they will do a complete blood workup on you, and see if you are short on anything. I was advised to have double the guidelines vitamin B12 because low levels cause fatigue and depression. Vegetarians are usually B12 deficient because meat, poultry, eggs, milk are the major sources.

The other thing about going to see a dietitian is that every company out there sends them recipes and literature to dish out. They also always have a great selection of dental care and foot care coupons because in my case they also have diabetes care there.
Thanks for the great advice lecale! And please don't apologize for asking me a question. That was not a personal question to ask, well for me it wasn't lol. I am a very open person, so, if anyone who asks me a question I will answer truthful, just how I am . I never thought about using more dry spices, I am totally going to start looking it that and finding out more about the benefits of them. I am for sure going to go and get some blood work done and look into seeing a dietitian. (Again never thought about that! Good advice!) I will for sure look for dietitians in my area. Today, I did do a bit of grocery shopping and got some beans on sale to add for some protein. Kidney Beans, Chick Pea Beans, and also some other regular cut beans (fresh). I am also going to start taking everyday vitamins and when I get my full blood work done, will see what other vitamins I should/need to be taking.

Just a comment on going to a registered dietitian, make sure you inform them of your activity level. My Dh has a high activity level, including 1 hour of exercise everyday, but because he is a paraplegic, they often assume that he is a couch potato! He is often given incorrect suggestions on food types and quantities. If you are taking any medications, bring the information with you. Some foods can interfere with the effectiveness of medications. I am always amazed at how changing a couple of things in your diet can make such a hugh difference in your life.
    good luck!

when your watching "The Fabulous Life of" series of famous people and you realize the amount of money they spend on stupid things could actually feed half the world dealing with poverty, help your country's health care system and help add to the building of the economy....but spending it on cars, private jets and clothes is more important...God why do people who make so much money spend it foolishly....

True, but, their our people out there that make a lot of money, and, still find ways to use that money to help people. Example Bill Gates, he donates a lot to charity etc. There is nothing wrong with making a lot of money and being successful, but, when you have so much were you don't even need half of it to survive/live comfortably, at least do something with it and help others. Even if I was to win millions, I would use some of the money to help others, and, to help my community.
