Hi All!!!
I'm a newb. and I seriously wanted to thank ALL of you for all your help learning this fun...ummm...hobby!!! lol Here is my tale from yesterday...bear with me it was crazy but i stuck through it!!
Day started out good...I spent a couple hours finishing up my coupon/spending plan and DH and I set of to WM...That was our first mistake: WM on a Sunday is INSANE (its a "Super" Walmart)!!! like line-ups going down the isles INSANE!! so thats fine b/c I don't drive and DH is only off work on Sundays to take me so I deal with it...ANYWAYS...we had a bunch of other stuff that we had to get that don't count in this story, but i was able to PM Alymer's Accents tomatoes to SOM @ 2/$3 and then I had the Save $1 WUB2 x5...sooo 10 cans for $10 PERFECT!!...k so i deal with the line up (which is moving pretty good) and i get up to the till..........she was (bless her soul) from a different dept. and was called up to cash........I asked her "can i PM here or should i take them up to CS?" "I can do them here i'll just call a CSM" "ok Great!!!" (i think to my self "ok this is gonna be easy!!!") CSM comes up, does the PM, NOOOO PROBLEMS!!!! YAYAYAYAYA.......and then she goes to ring in the coupons..........................she hits the wrong button, the till freezes, the line-up is long, and then the til says they OWE me $148,000.00!!!! hahahaha ya well that isn't happening obviously...So she calls the CSM back...CSM takes her time, line-up gets longer, both our faces get redder...finally the CSM shows up, cancels my order and has to re-ring me in at another till....
all just for me to save $10 on tomatoes lol...oh well so we move on from there to LD.
Sooo...LD started out just fine...picked out my purchases, finalized my coupon stacks, and headed to Customer Service (upon SC advice)...The manager was at the CS till (awesome at first) and says "oh looks like you've got some PMing, I can help you here!!"...cool!!...and then it happens...Every couponers worst nightmare!!! he insisted on doing all the PMs first and then the coupons!!!! I wasn't organized like that
!!!! ahhhhh!!!! so then i get alllll flustered cuz i'm out of "order" and trying to re-group myself...PM's go pretty quick once i'm "fixed" and then the coupons started...keep in mind i'm ALL out of sorts right now....and he gets confused on one of my coupies cuz i was stacking and i guess they included tax...so i got confused and I ended up having to pay $.50 for a toothpaste!!! i'm still upset about that...All in all i made out pretty good i think:
2x Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief T/P reg$4.99 PM @ 3.99
+ 2x Colgate Manual T/B reg $1.99 PM @ .99
4x Old Spice Deo. Manager Spec @ $2.49
+ 1x Old Spice Body wash
1x Gillette Pro-fusion Thermal Face scrub reg $4.99 PM @ 3.99
2x Multibionta Vitamins reg $14.99 PM @ $9.99 (i could have had 8 but i threw out 6 coupies loooong time ago when i never thought i'd use them!!!!!
)
Total Price BEFORE PM: $62.27
Price After PM: $50.27
Tax: $2.39
Total OOP $2.89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everything was free except the $.50 coupie mistake!!!!!!!! I'm sooo proud of my self!!!...I could have gotten more but our budget is REALLY tight right now and we need the stuff anyway!!!
FYI: Jasper Gates LD was AWESOME!!!! thumbs-up to them!!!

I know i know!!!! well u see here was my train of thought during that unspeakable moment of weakness:
The coupies were for $10 on ANY so i thought: Whew those my be pretty expensive to begin with!!! ie: Crest White strips: i have a coupon for $10 but they cost like $50 a box!!!!...sooo yaaaa: *Puts right hand over heart and raises left hand* I, Amanda, Promise to NEVER NEVER NEVER throw another coupon away, No matter how pointless it may seem at the time!!!

$148,000.00!!!! wouldn't that be nice?!?
You did an AMAZING first brag. Don't let .50 upset you!! Anyone could make that mistake... and we probably have... and not on our first time using coupons!
Great job!!! Keep up the good work!!

I know! Isn't it a nightmare when the check-out person at LD has a different method??? Once this happened to me, and I got so flustered that I dropped my entire handful of stacks on the floor! I had a monster headache when I finally left! (From trying to re-sort and keep an eye on whether or not every coupon was put through right, not to mention having nightmare cashier))
You did a really good job! Believe it or not, these weird problems will feel a lot less embarrassing in the future (it will probably take a few more problems)!
Wow! That's really funny that Walmart owed you $148,000.00! I probably would have been like, can you give me my money??? (Kidding of course)... Sucks though because it takes so long... WTG!
