Hi everyone, as you may have heard my town and families are suffering in Thunder Bay.
I am taking it upon myself to find a way to help, and I'm asking my friends on SC for assistance.
If anyone can donate to our disaster relief fund with a cash donation or items, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks Lynn, I am going down on the weekend to drop off everything I got extra here. I have a laundry basket full of toiletries. They have been warning people to stay out of their homes because they continue to flood with sewage. I hope they get the plant fixed really soon but they are having major issues getting in to find the problem.A couple of restoration places are offering to help clean up after this is over, so that is really awesome since mostly everyone didn't have insurance to cover the flood.

Gameprogirl, it so great that you are able to help out and give some of these families a glimmer of hope in a now desperate situation. It's hard when you lose a lot of personal things, it's like someone has stripped away part of your life. For me to send you a bunch of the items from your list from where I live in the West would just not be cost effective, so I called the Red Cross and made a donation in your name for your city. I applaud you for your efforts to help others in need. You are so very generous
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

A huge thank you to all my friends for all you are doing. My city and myself could not even express the gratitude I feel right now!

While I know your cause has a good meaning generally we do not allow people to ask for raoks or fpcs sent to a specific person. However your redcross link may stay.
Unfortunately a few bad apples ruined it for everyone a while back.Last edited by Sally888; Mon, Jun 4th, 2012 at 11:16 PM.

Ok Sally, I did not realize. Sorry for that and thank you for allowing the link to stay. I am an honest person, too bad others had to ruin it. I do appreciate the heads up.
