I love the raptor pics. I haven't seen any new birds around but it doesn't help my feeders have all been empty a while. I do however have a mexican squirrel. I don't know where she steals the food from but she has a craving for different foods. One day i spotter her up in a tree with a full hard corn taco shell and last week i saw her with half an avocado.

Had a beautiful Cardinal in my backyard today. I think hes the one from last year, too. He really loves the seed I give him. Hehe.
I also found THREE dead baby birds in my driveway today. I guess they fall from the nest which is like 25 feet up on the roof. Sad.Everytime you like my post I give the dog in my display picture a big *KISS!*

Gold finch pecking on my bedroom window at 7am saturday for a whole 30 minutes, even after i openned the curtain and layed on the bed just watching him. I went out to fill the feeders near him but he refused to leave the window sill and just kept knocking away.
Today I was coming home on the train from being out of town and on the edge of the city in a field near houses, i saw a large wild turkey. I'm not vegatarian and know where my food comes from. I hadn't had breakfast yet and I was raised on a farm having our own chickens for food. All i could think at that moment was nasty thoughts in the turkey's eye's. This neighborhood has quite a few. I guess they must feel safer around city folks and are obviously thriving. One lady told me she went to go take the bus and was met by one and she was so scared she ran all the way back home and called a cab. Lol!

Was sitting out with our coffee this AM and saw a half grown Blue Heron in the pond. We couldn't quite figure out what it was at first becasue of it's size, but when we took a good look, that what it is. Probably feasting on our 5 million frogs. . . .

Here is the first big group of goslings of the year. These 2 pics are of the same group. The total is 17 gosling. Last year the largest group was 21.
This is unusual to see 2 different ages of goslings in the same group

This fellow was at our bird feeder the other day...I forget what DH said it was now. Sorry for pic quality, you know how it is by the time you grab the camera ( hands trembling he might fly away) and then shoot through the kitchen screen before it is too late. lol!
