nicoleta362010 and Hrlygrl -- LittleMoe who matches "seniors" with people seeking adoption keeps a list on the second post of this thread - here.
You can also see the "seniors" who adopt and you will notice most have adopted at least one. I know LittleMoe was asking for more senior volunteers over the weekend so you can expect some adoptions to start rolling out.
Sometimes a senior browsing the list will feel a connection and scoop you up for adoption -- ie. same city, same interests, etc
I see nicoleta362010 is on the list. I'm sure the people who posted toady will be added to the list soon.
It also really makes it easier to match people up if a) you put your province or region. I noticed both of you did that.

There are some regional differences to couponing so it helps to have someone in the same area if possible.
It also helps to make note of what you're most interested in -- deals, reward, coupons, making money using survey sites, swagbucks, etc., entering contests.
In the meantime, I can answer a few questions per day, so free to post here or PM me.

For a little while, I have been thinking that it might be helpful to learn together in a small group facilitated by a senior who posts short videos/info and lessons explaining couponing 101. Not only would you learn couponing, you'd also get to know some other people and be able to share experiences and support each other. Each time I share something, there would be an "action" to do and share what happens.
So does anyone want to try this out and join?
One of the reasons I've been adopting folks is to get know people - it's fun and share what I've learned - tips and tricks.
I've been thinking that I have the energy to try to facilitate and post a new "lesson/info topic" every two or three days plus answer questions. I would also provide a coupon train that would go to all the circle members (no boarding pass required - which means you don't need to send anything back to the conductor, me. It's just a way to jumpstart your coupon stash. Never heard of coupon train? Join this group to find out about them).
If you'd like to join in and participate in a circle that I'll lead and help design what's included and how it works, PM me. PM means to send aprivate message and you can see the button PM at the end of this message. Just click on the PM and type away.
In your message let me know what you're most interested in finding out about, region of the country, and a little bit about yourself, favourite stores so far.
Here's some possible topics:
- what types of coupons are there and coupon abbreviations 101 and "where" to find coupons (best resources to look at on smart canucks)
- how to organize coupons
- what are coupon trains, how they work on SmartCanucks etc,
- create your first tradelist/wishlist
- do your first trade. Learn about ratings and reps and RAOKS and thumbs up on SmartCanucks
- learn how to keep track of the stuff you really want to follow on SmartCanucks (subscriptions),
- stockpiling -- what, when and why or why not,
- coupons and reward programs (points) - which points programs are really worth it
- Make a little extra $$ with surveys, search/reward sites etc.
- Decide your "coupon/money saving" strategy
Hmm I keep thinking of more things. Keeping track of savings. What are MIR's and when are they the most useful?

I am a newbie, well sorta, I have been around for awhile but never 100% on board until this year. Can I get a senior to help?
Also my friend in the states makes gift cards by doing her internet searches though a specific site, is there something here like that?
Edit to add: I am in SW ontarioLast edited by monkey'smom; Thu, Feb 10th, 2011 at 12:14 PM.

I could really use someone to show me how to make up a trade a wishlist. I haven't been at this for very long, but love the thrill of finding the next deal. I have accumulated a rather large pile of coupons and would love to do some more trading.
