Another Newbie

Hello everyone, I just signed on today, and I'm learning my way around here. I will admit to be a horrible shopper in the past...if I needed something I simply went to the closest most convenient place regardless of the cost. In fact, I really couldn't tell you the prices of most everyday items. I just bought it when I needed too.

But last night I saw that show on A&E (or TLC) about Couponers and boy was I blown away! I want to learn how to do this, how to save money on groceries in particular, and to ease up on our monthly expenses. My husband busts his butt for us every day, and I need to step up and do my part to make every dollar go as far as it can!

The one thing that struck me is that the people profiled on the show used coupons that the stores would double. Do any of our big chain stores here in Canada do that?

I'm looking forward to finding my way around here, and to learning some new things.

I too am a Newbie started last wk... I also saw the show with the coupon's amazed how much they saved.. Phamasave has double coupon days every now and then... Like last wk. awesome saved. 20.00 on Aleve,,, I found this site by accident, When I was in the Superstore last wk 2 ladies were doing the coupon thingy... ( it was b1g1 wk) We got talking and she suggested this site even wrote down the site info, God bless that women, and stupid me didnt' get her name but I do know that she comes here for coupons..... I would like to thank her as I have already saved about 40.00. Now just to find my way around the site would be even better as we dont' have coupons in the newspapers here,
